Design the complete garment
Sublimation places the design into a compatible polyester-based textile using heat. It is useful when the design includes several colors, patterns, names or numbers. Plan artwork around the actual garment panels: a graphic that looks continuous on a flat mockup can meet a seam differently on a sewn jersey. Review front, back and sleeve views together rather than approving a single front image.

Questions before you start
Is sublimation the same as a surface transfer?
No. Dye sublimation colors a suitable textile rather than adding the same kind of separate printed film. The final specification still needs to identify the fabric and decoration method.
Will a mockup show the exact finished color?
No. Screens, lighting and fabric affect appearance. Discuss a physical reference or sample when color consistency is critical.
Can a design cross seams?
It can be proposed, but exact continuity across separately cut and sewn panels needs review. Keep essential logos and readable text clear of seams.
Can a crest have a stitched look?
A printed illustration can suggest stitching visually, but it is not a sewn crest. Specify actual applied decoration separately if required.
